Lauren Greenfield’s Cougar Convention and Eli Broad images selected for American Photography 26 annual

We’re thrilled to report that American Photography has selected two of Lauren’s photos for AP26, its upcoming photo annual representing the best images from 2009. More than 1,200 photographers submitted their work for this year’s annual—a total of 8,000-plus images. And only 304 photos made the cut. Congratulations, Lauren!

This year’s judges, by the way, included author and curator Gail Buckland, the woman behind the “Who Shot Rock & Roll” exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum earlier this year; Scott Dadich, creative director at Wired (Scott, incidentally, will be talking with legendary art director/ad man George Lois at FIT next week); Janet Froelich, creative director at Real Simple; designer Luke Hayman of Pentagram; Steven Kasher of Steven Kasher Gallery; Michael Norseng, director of photography at Esquire; and Kira Pollack, director of photography at Time magazine.
