Europeans take their football seriously, which makes them prime for a little friendly teasing, dontcha think? In this new ad for LOT Polish Airlines, created by DDB Warsaw and photographed by Jason “Giblin” Hindley, it’s a fans-gone-wild scenario.
“Poland is hosting this year’s UEFA Euro championship,” explains Keiko Hindley, Jason’s studio manager, “so the ad is promoting LOT’s routes to Euro football-free zones—countries that aren’t participating in the championship. Hence, the ad shows stereotypical ‘hooligans’ and rowdy football supporters ‘invading’ Poland on the map. Note: The English are the worst behaved!!!”
