Next week in NYC: Erik Madigan Heck to publicly screen his “Seven Film Works” for the first time ever

.

Next Wednesday, the Avant/Garde Diaries project space in Soho will launch a weeklong installation of “Seven Film Works” by Erik Madigan Heck, marking the first time this material has been screened publicly.

Erik created the films, experimental interpretations of both fashion and music, in collaboration with designers including Ann Demeulemeester and A.F. Vandevorst, as well as composers Arvo Part and Marsen Jules.

Following a private reception on the evening of September 5, the films will be installed on the windows of Avant/Garde Diaries, located at 372 Broome Street, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through September 12, making them simultaneously visible to passersby outside the space.

Official press release below. (Click here to download it as a PDF.) For further details, please contact Evie Bear, Erik’s studio manager and publicist, at evie@new-wonder.com.
