The CBS soap The Bold & the Beautiful is celebrating its 25th year on the air, an especially impressive achievement given the tenuous standing of even the most beloved soap operas in the daytime lineup. Vanity Fair Italia ran a big feature on the show and commissioned Art Streiber to shoot the cast, images that were used both in print and in an online slideshow. Here’s a look…

Anish Kapoor’s ArcelorMittal Orbit, as photographed by Nadav Kander.

These two photos by Nadav Kander of the ArcelorMittal Orbit, a tower designed by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond that resides in London’s Olympic Park, appeared in Britain’s Financial Times Magazine this past weekend. Roxanne Lowit shoots Vault Magazine fashion feature at the former Versace Miami mansion

High-profile events impresario/restaurateur Barton G. Weiss—who is also the man behind the Villa, a luxury hotel housed in the mansion of the late fashion designer Gianni Versace—has just launched a quarterly collectible magazine inspired by Miami’s luxe, high-spirited way of life. Vault Magazine “covers fashion, party-going, and celebrity with lush full-color pages and heaps (and heaps) of style history,” reports Refinery 29. The premiere issue includes a feature shot by our own Roxanne Lowit, who first photographed the mansion for Versace himself 19 years ago.

Roxanne’s Vault feature is “one of the best spreads of the debut issue,” according to Refinery 29. “[The story] imagines a group of youngsters crashing a rager in the manse’s gilded halls. New snaps of socialites and designers are mixed with vintage photos, and the Versaces themselves make an appearance in this time-bending editorial.” Read more at refinery29.com.

John Midgley to speak at See Change conference tomorrow

The 2012 See Change conference kicks off tonight in Minneapolis, an event “intended for curious creatives to refresh their talents with innovative ideas and imagery.” And our own John Midgley will be among the speakers presenting at the conference tomorrow, along with legendary art director George Lois, photographer Tim Mantoani, and design firm Aesthetic Apparatus, among others.

See Change is presented by the Minnesota Journalism Center at the School of Journalism & Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota, AIGA Minnesota, and the College of Design at the University of Minnesota. Find out more at the conference’s official website.

Harmony Korine, who wrote the provocative indie classic Kids (the film that put Chloe Sevigny on Hollywood’s radar) and directed Gummo and Julien Donkey-Boy, is trying his hand at directing a movie aimed squarely at a mainstream audience: Spring Breakers, due out next year, follows the misadventures of four college women during you know what season in South Florida. Interview magazine just did a huge feature on the movie and ran this photo by Michael Muller of the movie’s young stars…
