We had our chance, and we blew it.  While we held out for the same amount of money we were used to, or even half, amateurs came in, decided it was okay to sell an image for $1 as long as they could see their name at the bottom.  Hell, most people I know who are amateurs will give their photos away for free if their name is shown in big lights.  The funny thing is, the public cannot even tell the difference between a Jay Maisel shot and some schmuck from Flickr.  Photography is just not worth as much as it used to be.  Maybe it never was.  Maybe advertising photographers have always been overpaid...</description>
