Model Kate Upton gets some golf tips from Arnold Palmer for Golf Digest‘s December cover story, a feature photographed for the magazine by Walter Iooss. Here’s a look at some of images, plus a behind-the-scenes video from the studio portion of the shoot. Golf Digest has also posted fun outtakes and on-set shots here.

Walter Iooss shoots “Body Paint” feature for Sports Illustrated’s latest Swimsuit Issue

For Sports Illustrated‘s 2013 Swimsuit Issue, Walter Iooss photographed a feature that, ironically, contains no actual swimsuits at all. For “Body Paint,” the models—Chrissy Teigen, Alyssa Miller, Kate Upton, Anne V, Nina Agdal, and Ariel Meredith—each sport a famous suit inspired by past Swimsuit Issues swimsuits and created solely with body paint.

The shoot took place at Emerald Bay on Great Exuma in the Bahamas. The body paint and makeup was by Joanne Gair, using Body Art Products by Reel Creations and Make-up FX Studio. Here’s a look, along with link for videos of Walter’s photo session with the models…

Walter Iooss lands cover of Sports Illustrated’s new Swimsuit Issue

Sports Illustrated‘s 2012 Swimsuit Issue just hit stands yesterday—and we’re so excited that the cover photo, of 19-year-old model Kate Upton, is by Walter Iooss. Congratulations, Walter!

Kate, who was photographed by the legendary Sports Illustrated contributor in Australia, told CBSNews.com that the image that made the magazine’s cover “was one of the first photos from the first shoot.”

“That’s true,” Walter told me by email. “It was our 2nd shot at a beach named Narrabeen, north of Sydney. She was on a boardwalk, and I was below ground level when we shot her, in a suit that almost doesn’t exist. The first shot we did that day is the opener to the Oz story, with her sitting on the boardwalk. It was probably the best afternoon of the trip. She is a star.”

The 2012 Swimsuit Issue has already got some big-name fans. Here’s a clip of David Letterman‘s “Top 10 Reasons This Year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Is the Best One Ever” from his show Monday night:
