I was curious what inspired Cecilia’s project and what she hoped to learn from it, so I emailed her and asked. Here’s what she said:
“I was at BBDO for almost 5 years and we were a 9 person Art Production Department then I hopped over to my current agency last year and I’m a one woman show. In my office loneliness (haha) I have ventured out more and recently I stopped by the Anyway Artists office since they’re around the corner from me and then Kate Ryan’s office for a Pre-Connections portfolio viewing.
“That’s when I realized I had never been to Rep offices (that I remember) before those 2 visits. In our Art Production world Reps host portfolio shows at our agencies, Reps take us out to lunches, we see Reps at industry events and we talk to Reps on the phone but rarely do we see where they work. I’m interested in doing this series for the blog because I think it will give a little more insight in to a Rep’s world that is often overlooked.”
