Jason “Giblin” Hindley serves up food-based metaphors for campaign promoting insulation manufacturer

Paris-based agency Babel recently commissioned Jason “Giblin” Hindley to photograph an ad campaign for Isover, which manufactures insulation. The concept was, of all things, food-based.

“In the first ad, the insulation materials are made to resemble a couple of barbecue skewers, as when put together, these materials can turn into a very effective form of insulation,” explains Keiko Hindley, who was the prop stylist on the shoot. “Just like making good barbecue skewers, it’s all about using the right combination of good ingredients.

“In the second ad,” she continues, “the idea is a play with the words ’1000 layers,’ or ‘mille feuilles’ in French, which is also the name of the famous French pastry. You don’t need a thousand layers for your insulation to be effective if using Isover products.”
