Talk about a dream assignment: Leo Burnett recently commissioned Jason “Giblin” Hindley to go out and record “a day in the life of someone obsessed with photography,” for a poster for the Renaissance Photography Prize. The RPP is an international photography award that showcases outstanding photography from emerging or established photographers. Funds raised from entries are donated to support younger women with breast cancer.
The project was perfect for Jason because “he is a bit obsessed with photography and documenting the mundane surroundings of everyday life,” notes Keiko Hindley. “But he had to shoot over 30 images in a week!!! And every image had to look amazing! Talk about pressure!! But the great narrative by Matt Lee and Pete Heyes obviously helped and the end result does look amazing!”
Here’s a look at the poster, along with some of Jason’s favorite photos from the assignment. By the way, there’s still time to enter the Renaissance contest—they’re taking submissions till May 7. Details here.
