There are people who enjoy being athletes, and then there are people who enjoying looking at athletes. The needs of both constituencies have been taken into account in Nadav Kander’s campaign for Powerade, which celebrates the magnificence of the well-toned human form.

The reasons to admire Nadav’s photos—like the one you see here of a man who has probably never in his life eaten a potato chip, baked or otherwise—are self-evident. And, in fact, the images have just been shortlisted for the Campaign Photo Awards, where he is a finalist in the Multi-Image Campaign (Colour) category. All of the shortlisted photos will be exhibited at the Print Space Gallery in London September 9 through 16, and the winners will be announced on opening night.
The Campaign Photo Awards were established by the U.K. magazine Campaign. Here’s how they describe the goal of the awards:
“Like Campaign, great photography has always enjoyed a most special relationship with great advertising and the aim is to celebrate the most beautiful, most disturbing, most eloquent, most communicative of photographic images through Campaign Photo—a new awards from the online and offline eyes, ears and voice of advertising in the UK—Campaign. And these images will be recognised in the way that advertising itself works: by product sector.”
