For its November issue, Paper magazine commissioned Timothy to photograph the curators and artists who are “shaking up the art world right now.” The idea for the portrait pays homage to his 1985 photographs of artists, dealers, and critics that were published in Arts magazine, which named the group “the New Irascibles.” Here’s the portrait Timothy shot for Paper:
