You can tell that Timothy and his friend Whoopi had a good time doing the print and TV campaign for Poise, a product for people who have trouble, um, containing themselves. I’ve posted a montage of the spots below. Timothy directed the commercials, as well as oversaw every aspect of them, including the costumes and wigs. Whoopi impersonates the Mona Lisa, the Statue of Liberty, Joan of Arc, and others.

The print ads are just beginning to come out—why does everything sound like a double entendre?—and have already been written about by magazines like People (“Whoopi Goldberg Brings Humor and ‘Poise’ to Her New Campaign”) and Advertising Age, which did a big feature on the campaign this week.
