Lots of new work from Walter to show you today. He photographed the Yankees’ Core Four—Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, and Andy Pettitte—for the cover of the current issue of Sports Illustrated, shooting them at Legends Field in Tampa, Florida, home of the Yanks’ spring training. The story was penned by Tom Verducci.

And he shot Matt Wieters, catcher for the Baltimore Orioles, for an SI cover in March:

And perhaps you’ve read about the ads he did for Hunky Dorys, an Irish brand of potato chips that is an official sponsor of Irish Rugby. The campaign, which launched April 26, is called “Rugby” and, as described at its official website, “presents a unique take on the lineout, the scrum, the tackle, and the place kick.”
The images, which Walter shot in Key Biscayne, Florida, are being used on bus shelters and billboards…

and in a high-concept Web campaign…

The photos have sparked a heated debate everywhere from the Belfast Telegraph and Ireland’s Herald to the feminist blog Jezebel.
