Doug Menuez has assembled a collection of his landscape photos from over the years at his stock site, Menuez Archive Projects, and as I was looking through them, I noticed that the images are not necessarily about the place where they were shot—they’re more about a mood or a feeling.
“Water, the sea, the still, calm water cures me,” Doug explained to me. “It’s my version of Prozac.”
“My landscapes are about finding peace of mind and a sense of place for myself,” he added. “But I don’t have the patience to shoot landscapes like Ansel Adams. My landscapes are like lucky moments I happened across during my travels, out car or train windows or when I’ve pulled to the side of the highway. My approach is, Just grab shots.”
Doug is truly a world traveler, having crossed Sahara, been up the Amazon, and been logged as the 3,013th person to set foot on the North Pole, all in the name of photography. To view “Terra,” his landscape edit at MAP, please click here or on the image below.

I love this kind of lanscape and this hot and soft land. Great Doug. Desert and sensual dunes are also better than Viagra!!!
