Sometimes it’s not enough to be on the list. Having RSVPed for the “Mick Rock Exposed” exhibition and book celebration…

…I arrived at around 10 last night at the spot that was once the great CBGB and CBGB’s Gallery and is now home to a John Varvatos store and the Morrison Hotel Gallery, respectively. The gallery was already closed…

…and the line to get into the store was long and static…

…because there were scheduled performances by Adam Green (cofounder of the Moldy Peaches) and guest DJing by Albert Hammond Jr. of the Strokes, Sune of the Raveonettes, and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Sigh.
If any of you went to the event and have photos or comments, send them to me at kristina [at] stocklandmartel.com and I’ll post them here.
UPDATE: Rick Edwards, manager at the Bowery NYC location of the Morrison Hotel Gallery, heard me plea and sent me these terrific photos that he shot that night. Thanks, Rick!
