New work: John Midgley shoots for Paul Stuart and Phineas Cole

Paul Stuart, the upscale men’s and women’s clothier that bills itself as “the closest thing to a Savile Row experience outside of London,” recently commissioned John Midgley to do a series of photographs for use in its catalogue and in ads.

Actually, John did two sets of images—a group of color photos for Paul Stuart shot in and around the New York Public Library and a black-and-white series for the company’s luxurious Phineas Cole line, which John shot in a New York studio. The design agency was Point One Percent, and the creative director was Alexander Duckworth.
