As in years past, the Angel Orensanz Foundation, which is housed in a gorgeous 19th-century synagogue on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, hosted the American Illustration/American Photography bash. (This year’s photo annual features work by four Stockland Martel photographers: Craig Cutler, Lauren Greenfield, Nadav Kander, and Art Streiber.) The event, which took place on a mild Thursday evening last week, was packed with art directors, photo editors, photographers, and illustrators. Here’s an iPhone shot I took:
