“Inner Condition,” a new body of work by Nadav Kander, to go on view in Europe

Two major exhibitions of Nadav Kander‘s work are opening this weekend in Europe, while another is opening in Israel. In Spain, the Centro Andaluz de la Fotografia in Almeria is hosting a show curated by Tamar Amon and Eli Zagury that will feature portraits taken between 1998 and 2010 alongside portraits from the “Obama’s People” series.

Also on view will be a new series titled “Inner Condition,” which explores the human body and viewers’ emotional response to it.

In Israel, the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art will be showing selected images from “Obama’s People,” along with work by William Cobbing and David LaChapelle, among others. The exhibition, curated by Ghila Limon and Dana Orland, is called “Body Gestures” and explores nonverbal language and communication. It opens on February 12 and will be on view through May 28.
