What are the chances you’ll get to have your portrait taken by a fashion photographer who’s worked with the greatest names in the business? That’s the question pursued over the past two weeks by the stylish residents of Hong Kong who turned out for a special promotional event hosted by luxury retailer Joyce.
In an arrangement reminiscent of talent-seeking reality shows like American Idol, sharply dressed men and women went to Joyce’s Lee Gardens location to have their snapshots taken. “These images were then uploaded to JOYCE.com, where fans could vote for their top 30 favourites, ranging from students and musicians to actors and writers,” explains the news page at JOYCE.com. The winners returned to Lee Gardens, where they were attired in the latest fashions and had their portraits taken by Erik Madigan Heck.
