High-profile events impresario/restaurateur Barton G. Weiss—who is also the man behind the Villa, a luxury hotel housed in the mansion of the late fashion designer Gianni Versace—has just launched a quarterly collectible magazine inspired by Miami’s luxe, high-spirited way of life. Vault Magazine “covers fashion, party-going, and celebrity with lush full-color pages and heaps (and heaps) of style history,” reports Refinery 29. The premiere issue includes a feature shot by our own Roxanne Lowit, who first photographed the mansion for Versace himself 19 years ago.
Roxanne’s Vault feature is “one of the best spreads of the debut issue,” according to Refinery 29. “[The story] imagines a group of youngsters crashing a rager in the manse’s gilded halls. New snaps of socialites and designers are mixed with vintage photos, and the Versaces themselves make an appearance in this time-bending editorial.” Read more at refinery29.com.
