The presentation of The Unfortunate Moment of Misunderstanding, a fine art photographic journey by Jim Fiscus, at Industrial Color on June 11, 2009. Photos by Whitney Kidder.
Last Thursday, an exhibition of Jim Fiscus’ photographic short story, “The Unfortunate Moment of Misunderstanding,” opened at M Project Gallery in Tribeca. The weather was gloomy, all gray skies and intermittently misty, which suited the dark, enigmatic mood of Fiscus’ photographs. The cavernous space, meanwhile, was the ideal setting for the show, giving gallerygoers ample room to take in the visual complexity of “The Unfortunate Moment,” which combines handmade props and wardrobe with CGI work by artists from Industrial Color, an offshoot of Impact Digital. Not to worry if you missed the opening: It will be on view through July 23 at M Project Gallery, 32 Avenue of the Americas, 22nd Floor, mprojectgallery.com.

Looks like fun, will the images from this project be online on Jim’s website anytime soon?
We put a few up yesterday in Gallery 1. Re-working the site a bit this week.
