Random post: Mel Gibson directs “the cheesiest video ever”
Mel’s been trying to repair his image ever since his anti-Semitic tirade in September 2006. But we’re not sure that this glassy-eyed, post-Apocalypto directorial effort, for girlfriend Oksana Gregorieva’s “Beautiful Heartache,” is the way to do it. (Sample lyric: “I love the way you wear your skin.” Huh. Sounds like a line from The Silence of the Lambs.)

Music website The Daily Swarm, where I first saw the clip, calls it “the cheesiest video ever.” And there’s lots more commentary at Los Angeles Times blog The Dish Rag, written by Rebecca Snead, including this remark: “Sorry, I tried to listen. I lasted about 30 seconds. It was like caulk on a blackboard…..and it was getting worse.” Exactly what is the sound of caulk on a chalkboard?
