Los Angeles artist Shepard Fairey, who designed the Obama “Hope” and “”Progress” posters that were ubiquitous during the presidential election last fall, is going Barack to the drawing board for his newest project. The book Art for Obama: Designing for Manifest Hope and the Campaign, to be published in October by Abrams Image, will be filled with artwork depicting or inspired by President Obama and the election. Among the artists featured in the book is our own Kwaku Alston. (You can see Kwaku’s photos of the president and his family here.)
