Peak performance: The climbers at the top of Kilimanjaro. Photo by Michael Muller.
Back in January, Michael and a team of climbers—including actors Jessica Biel and Emile Hirsch—ascended Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of the global clean-water crisis, an endeavor I’ve documented on this blog here, here, and here. We’re proud to report that on Monday, a selection of Michael’s photos from the Summit on the Summit trip were exhibited at the U.S. State Department, with a reception hosted by Ambassador Elizabeth Frawley Bagley, Special Representative for Global Partnerships. The official press release is here, and the invitation is below:

Tonight, Bill and I are attending a special advanced screening of the Summit on the Summit documentary at the Tribeca Grand. The 90-minute Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro, which debuts on March 14 on MTV, features “never-before-seen footage and insight into the climb while spotlighting the urgency of water issues,” reports Gil Kaufman of MTV.com. Michael will be in town for the event, and Bill and I are looking forward to congratulating him in person. For a preview of the film, go here.
