    Jim was my cousin and responsible for getting me into photography. He was a great mentor and always made time for me and my terrible portfolio. He would say “What the hell is this? Dont take a photograph if there is no feeling or emotion behind it, there has to be something special happening.” We lost someone special yesterday and the San Francisco photo scene is in mourning.
