Did you see the cover story of the Mother’s Day edition of Parade? It was on “the serious side” of Mike Myers, the comedian and actor famous for his onscreen alter ego Austin Powers and the star voice of the upcoming Shrek Forever After.
“You are strapped to the front of a rocket and realizing all of your dreams,” he tells writer Jeanne Wolf of his Hollywood ascent. “You also have the painful realization that it is not answering every one of your fears. With fame there is a crosswire between intensity and intimacy. You have decoy intimacy, but you are also very much alone.”
Matthias shot the story (our own Sam Spector was the stylist), and Parade has posted both a slideshow of his images and a behind-the-scenes video.
