Aussie agency chooses Nadav Kander for high-art ice-cream campaign

It takes an extraordinary level of artistry to make Nestlé Peters’ Connoisseur ice cream—that’s the concept behind a new campaign developed by Publicis Mojo Melbourne, who hired Nadav Kander to create images to illustrate the ads.

“Client and agency collaborated with Nadav Kander, arguably one of the world’s best stills photographers, to bring the campaign to life,” as reported by the blog of Australia’s Campaign Brief magazine. “Kander and acclaimed British set designer Hana Al Sayed turned the key ingredients in Connoisseur ice cream into visually stunning art installations, captured on camera by Kander.”

Franklin Tipton, ECD Publicis Mojo Melbourne, told Campaign Brief that “Connoisseur’s flavours are designed specifically for the adult palette. This is no kids’ product. It was evident that the advertising needed to be elevated out of the traditional ice cream visual vernacular, and it was perfect to align Connoisseur with the art world aesthetic.”
