New work: Art Streiber’s Mike White portrait for the New York Times Magazine

Actor/director/writer/producer Mike White, whose many credits include writing School of Rock, has come back from a bit of a rocky time (specifically, a stay in a psychiatric hospital) with a project that’s generating a lot of buzz. Enlightened is a new series created by White for HBO. Starring Laura Dern, it’s about “an executive on the verge of a nervous breakthrough,” according to the show’s pithy tagline. Yesterday’s edition of The New York Times Magazine profiled White, and Art Streiber shot the portrait that accompanied the piece.
