Matthew Rolston shot photos for a set of features in the November issue of O, The Oprah Magazine that’s been getting a lot of attention. Called “Better Than Beautiful?,” the package is about how the “unlimited options” for cosmetically altering oneself have created a new standard of beauty. Christina Weber, deputy photo editor at O, commissioned Matthew to photographically illustrate the articles, including the below portrait of onetime plus-size model Katie Halchishick holding a Barbie doll, with markings indicating where she’d need to be altered in order to fulfill the Barbie ideal.
