The June 7 issue of The New York Times Magazine looks at the remarkable innovations that evolved from the need to solve simple problems. We’re not talking computer technology, though. Think Band-Aids, air bags, the bike-share program, ATMs, and so on. The cover story (titled “Who Made That?”) is illustrated by crisp still lifes of these innovations, all of them photographed for the magazine by Craig Cutler. The food styling is by Victoria Granof.
