Liz Von Hoene: the mask at hand

Flawless fashion photos are what Liz Von Hoene is known for, but that’s not the only kind of work she does. Through July 16, her enigmatic portrait of a girl standing in a field, holding a mask in front of her face, will be on view in “COEXIST: The Universe and I,” an exhibition at Gallery 152 in downtown Manhattan. The show is part of the ongoing Urban Green Initiative Series launched on Earth Day this past spring and hosted by Gallery 151. In addition to exhibitions, the series features concerts and dance performances, all of them aimed at raising awareness about environmental issues. Gallery 151 is located 350 Bowery.
