New magazine offers its own “Take” on documentary photography

Andrew Johnstone, an Australia-based publisher whose credits include Design Is Kinky and EMPTY magazine, has just launched a photo magazine called Take. The publication, which has a documentary focus and an emphasis on big pictures and minimal text, premiered last month with a 116-page June/July issue featuring work by a mix of established and emerging photographers, including Stefano De Luigi, Andrew Quilty, Tamara Dean, Stephen Dupont, Corey Arnold, and Lisa Wiltse.
