The new issue of People arrives on newsstands today, and the cover story is on Jaycee Dugard, who was kidnapped at the age of 14, in 1991, and endured 18 years in captivity before being rescued. The magazine is featuring an eight-page excerpt from her memoir, A Stolen Life, and commissioned Jeff Lipsky—whom they knew they could trust to be warm, friendly, and kind in a shoot that is understandably sensitive—to photograph Dugard for the cover.
