To showcase its new “Food Lovers Guide,” Los Angeles opted for not one but three different cover images. Craig Cutler worked with the magazine on the concepts, arriving at still lifes of a mushroom, a split-open pomegranate, and a loaf of artisanal bread.
He also explored the option of shooting a spiky sea urchin, a photograph the magazine ultimately published on an inside page.
