Jason Hindley on photographing a widely used (literally) Wimbledon-themed campaign for HSBC

Saatchi & Saatchi London recently commissioned Jason Hindley to shoot a campaign promoting HSBC UK’s “Road to Wimbledon” sponsorship. The challenge was creating images in the incredibly wide format needed for their intended display in town and around the tennis courts.

“It was especially technically involved,” says Jason. “We shot the ads on location in lovely big gardens in and around London, but of course they were not big enough for us to be able to get back far enough to accommodate the crazy super-wide formats—18 meters x 1 meter and 18 meters x 3 meters.

“We also had to make sure it all looked like the height of summer in temperamental April weather!”
