The Photo Annual edition of PDN came out this month, showcasing work in nine categories—including photos by three of our photographers: Kai-Uwe Gundlach, Nadav Kander (whose “Obama’s People” portraits was awarded a Gold Medal from the Society of Publication Designers for Photography in the Non-Celebrity Profile Story category at the SPD Gala earlier this month), and David Drebin.

In the intro to the Photo Annual, PDN notes that it’s trying a new circulation tactic with this issue, distributing it to “an additional 5,000 influential members of our industry including art buyers, photo editors, and art directors.” The goal? “…To move the winners’ names and images to the forefront of these buyers’ minds to help increase your assignments.” I’m very curious to know how this experiment turns out…
