Who are the “Frill Seekers?” They’re the young, glamorous, monied, and entertainingly deceitful fictional subjects of a poshly styled feature in the May/June issue of VIVmag, an online women’s magazine with interactive content. VIVmag commissioned Steven Lippman to photograph the story and to direct a short film to go with it.
As you peruse the pages of “Frill Seekers” online, you’ll see a play button on an image; hit the button, and the image animates, displaying a segment of Steven’s film related to that still. Steven worked with creative director Campion Primm, director of photography Giles Dunning, and senior fashion editor Karen Marsala. (Hair was by Giovanni Giuliano for Contact Chip/Celestine; makeup was by Annie Ing for Contact Chip/Celestine; and Kim Wong was the prop stylist.)
