For years now, Kwaku Alston has been documenting his life and the life around him developing those images into personal projects that he polishes in between his commercial assignments. “Life @ 40″ is one of those projects.
The portfolio contains portraits of loved ones, neighborhood characters, a few famous faces, and some street photography, assembled into a collection that expresses Kwaku’s impressions of a handful of personal milestones: turning 40, getting married, and becoming a father (the portfolio was completed before the birth of his son in December).
