On Friday, in the eastern Caribbean Sea, tropical storm Ian formed. And the forecast shows that the storm is strengthening into a major Category 3 hurricane. And now the question is: When Will Tropical Depression 9 Hit Florida? 

According to the National Hurricane Center, the tropical storm can hit Cuba early next week. And after that, the storm will become a hurricane, and then it will hit Florida on Wednesday. They also mentioned that it is too early to determine the exact location and magnitude. So, the National Hurricane Center advised the natives of Cuba, the Florida Keys, and the Florida Peninsula to make hurricane plans.

Bernie Rayno, AccuWeather Chief, On-Air Meteorologist, said that the areas from the Florida Peninsula to the Florida Panhandle are at a higher risk as the hurricane can directly strike that area. 

When Is the Hurricane Coming?

According to the Eastern Daylight Time, at around 5 p.m., tropical depression nine was located 430 miles east-southeast of Kingston, Jamaica. The storm had sustained winds of 35 mph, and it was moving at 15 mph. When the sustained winds cross 39 mph, the depression will become a tropical storm. And when the sustained winds cross 74 mph, the tropical storm becomes a hurricane.
