Art Streiber on the value of growing older

Michal Fanta of the Czech photo blog odcloneno.com regularly asks photographers, “What is the best ‘thing’ you have ever done that made you a better photographer?” And he recently posed the question to Art Streiber. Here’s an excerpt from his reply:

Honestly, the best “thing” I have done that has made me a better photographer is grow older; gaining experience and maturity and developing a sense of perspective that I didn’t have when I began. As cliche as it sounds, it’s true. Never giving up, not taking “no” for an answer and tirelessly working to take myself beyond where I’ve been before is what’s kept me going since I started a career in photography in 1984.
