They’re beautiful and ambitious, but do the catwalking contestants on Make Me a Supermodel know how to have fun? Viewers of Episode 2 of the hit reality series were able to judge for themselves as the aspiring supermodels paired up to pose for Roxanne Lowit, who patiently advised her subjects on how to look like they’d been photographed at the peak of some fabulous night out. Lowit, of course, first made her name with her party pictures of the art, fashion, and entertainment worlds’ starriest names. Warhol, Yves Saint Laurent, Madonna. More recently, as an editorial and advertising photographer, she has become known for staged photos that re-create that heady, glamorous feel. As you can see in the YouTube clip below, willowy Salome and Mountaha, who both dressed as Twiggy, had no problem pretending the water-filled martini glasses they coyly sipped from were actually good stiff drinks. The sculpted Sandhurst and square-jawed Branden, however, had a harder time. Even smiling proved a challenge. Fortunately, Lowit was there to show them the way. “You’re sexy,” she said reassuringly, “but you’re fun.”
