Congratulations to our SPD awards finalists: Nadav Kander and Nino Muñoz
The Society of Publication Designers has announced the medal finalists for its 45th Annual Magazine Design Competition, and we’re beyond pleased to report that four of our photographers have made this prestigious list:
Nadav Kander, for “Obama’s People,” shot for the January 18, 2009, issue of The New York Times Magazine:

The contest by the numbers: more than 40 print categories; 5,000 entries; 36 judges from the fields of editorial design, photography, and illustration, overseen by chairpersons Debra Bishop (creative director of More), Casey Tierney (photo director of Real Simple), and Magazine of the Year chair Bruce Ramsay. The winners will be announced at the big SPD Gala on May 7. Can’t wait!
