How stylist Sam Spector helped Daniel Radcliffe “get his sartorial priorities straight”

.

GQ recently chronicled the evolution of Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe from “impish fop to dapper gentleman-child,” a transformation that occurred under the guiding eye of Stockland Martel stylist Sam Spector. Sam has been working with Radcliffe since last year, when he styled a campaign (shot by Matthias Clamer) for the Broadway show How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, in which Radcliffe stars.

“Last year it became clear that with a Broadway show and two huge Harry Potter films to promote it would be impossible for Daniel to be responsible for all the wardrobe that comes along with this,” Sam tells GQ. “It became my job to work with him to find the best there is for him. I made it my responsibility to mark his style with global appeal by putting him in clothing by designers with relevance in the fashion industry that the general population can relate to and understand.”
