Thank you to everyone who came out to 5th and Sunset last Thursday for the reception for “Moments: Surf Culture by Steven Lippman.” The place was packed, every last bottle of beer and wine was drained, the food—by the Grilled Cheese Truck and Chef Ted—was enjoyed by all, and most important: Steven brought attention to A Walk on Water, a nonprofit organization that provides water therapy through guided surf instruction to special-needs children.
Many thanks to 5th and Sunset for hosting the exhibition and to the event’s sponsors: Andresen Digital Prepress, Angel City Brewery, Compound Project, GoPro, The Grilled Cheese Truck, and James Perse. Proceeds from the sale of limited-edition “Moments” T-shirts donated by James Perse (featuring a logo design by Paulo Lemes), and from a raffle of gear donated by GoPro, benefited A Walk on Water. And special thanks to John Blakely of 5th and Sunset for helping coordinate and promote the show.
Here’s a look at some fun photos, taken by Donna Wong and Paulo Lemes, from the reception. Click on any one of them to view as a slideshow. See more at 5th and Sunset’s Facebook page.
