On July 20, a collection of hardy, determined souls set out to traverse the distance between Kingston, New York, to Manhattan by paddleboard in order to raise money for autism charities and clean-water initiatives. The 100-Mile Paddle, as the event is called, spans a grueling two days and attracts only the sturdiest of paddleboarders. Jorg Badura was there to document it and also shot portraits of the participants.
You can read his account of the 100-Mile Paddle at his blog. Below, some of his photos and portraits. To learn more about the 100-Mile Paddle, visit 100milepaddle.com, whose branding features many of Jorg’s photos from past events.
