Steven Lippman recently photographed an image library showcasing Samsung‘s smart TVs. Steven, who shot the images over a two-day period in New York City, created these photos almost entirely in camera, including the flare, which adds depth and interest to the photos.
“My approach is always to capture as much as I possibly can in camera,” he notes, adding that the only effects achieved in post were the images displayed on the TVs.
An experienced commercial director, Steven worked closely with the models to create authentic-feelings vignettes. “I set up scenarios and directed them, communicating to the models as if I were shooting a motion piece,” he explains. “I wanted to get a believable moment out of each scene.”
