Kwaku Alston’s “On White” series displayed at E! Entertainment in Los Angeles
E! Entertainment Television in Los Angeles recently exhibited select celebrity portraits from Kwaku Alston‘s “On White” series. The photos were taken with a Deardorf 8×10 film camera that dates back to the 1960s, Kwaku explains at his blog, Art of Studio.
“To produce this ongoing series, I time traveled down the road of legendary photographers like Cecil Beaton, George Hurrell, and Alfred Steiglitz,” Kwaku says. “The portraits sprung from my natural-light studio in Venice Beach and take us back to a pre-digital time.”
Below, some of our favorite celebrity—and noncelebrity—portraits from “On White.” See more here.
