Photography writer Miss Rosen pairs Guzman’s photos with text by one of their favorite artists

For a recent post on her eponymous blog, photography writer Miss Rosen asked Guzman—a.k.a. Connie Hansen and Russell Peacock—to send her the names of their favorite artist writers. Among the people whose names they sent her is that of David Wojnarowicz, a painter, photographer, writer and AIDS activist who died in 1992 at the age of 37.

“He’s an amazing artist,” says Connie. “I never could understand why he wasn’t on everyone’s radar.”
