Steven Lippman photographs long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad for Vanity Fair On Time

In the U.K., Vanity Fair publishes a special magazine called Vanity Fair On Time, featuring notable people wearing notable watches. For the October edition, Steven Lippman photographed long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad, who last year became the first person on record to swim from Cuba to Florida without the aid of a shark cage—a feat she accomplished at age 64.
