We’re thrilled to welcome award-winning photographer, director, National Geographic photographer, and longtime The North Face athlete Jimmy Chin to the Stockland Martel roster.
Jimmy—whose clients range from Men’s Journal and Vanity Fair to Squarespace and Adidas—has collaborated with some of the most progressive athletes and explorers in the world, participating in and documenting breakthrough expeditions around the planet, from climbing notable first ascents in the Karakoram to skiing first descents in the Himalayas. He is also one of the few people to climb and ski Mount Everest from the summit.
On January 28, his feature-length documentary, Meru, about three elite climbers who attempt to ascend Mount Meru in the Himalayas, will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
“It’s about sharing stories that inspire people, highlighting the infinite human spirit, and opening people’s eyes to a different world,” Jimmy says of his work. “Creating films and photographs through situations that few others could experience is my life’s inspiration.”
